Privacy

We are T&S Engineering Intelligence AB, a Swedish company, number 559226-8733, at c/o Dospace, Norra Kungsgatan 1, 803 20 Gävle. We build Comparedrawing, and we decide what happens to the personal data described below. Write to get-started@comparedrawing.com about anything on this page.

What the access form collects

The form on the home page is the only place this site asks you for anything. When you send it, we store:

  • the work email address you typed, and its domain on its own
  • what you told us you compare, if you filled that box in
  • whether you ticked the box saying your drawings cannot leave your network
  • which language you were reading, and the address of the page you sent it from
  • the date and time you sent it

We do not ask for your name. We do not record your IP address, and we store nothing about your browser.

Why we keep it

You asked us for access to the product, so we keep enough to reply to you and to set an invite up for your company. That is all we use it for. We do not send marketing, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell the data or pass it to anyone who would.

Under the GDPR our basis for this is Article 6(1)(b), taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

Sending the form also opens your own mail program, with a draft to get-started@comparedrawing.com and your answers already in it. You send that one yourself: we do not send anything on your behalf, and you keep a copy in your sent mail.

How long we keep it

Two years, counted from the day you send the form. After that the site deletes the record by itself: it checks once a day and removes anything older. You do not have to ask.

Who else can see it

The site runs on servers we rent from Oderland, a hosting company in Sweden, and the mail we send you leaves through them. They also keep the usual web server logs, which record the IP address of each visit. Nobody else receives what you send us through the form. Google receives statistics about visits to the site, described under Cookies and visitor statistics.

Cookies and visitor statistics

We count visits with Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to see which pages are read and how people find the site. Google Analytics is also told when you start filling in the access form and when you send it, each time with the page’s language, but never anything you type into it. Editors logged in to the site are not counted.

On your first visit a banner asks whether you allow statistics cookies. Until you answer, and if you decline, Google Analytics sets no cookies and cannot recognise you from one visit to the next. Google’s script is still loaded from Google’s servers and reports the visit to Google without an identifier: the address of the page, the page you came from, your browser and type of device, and your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your country and region and says it does not store. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

If you accept, Google Analytics also sets two cookies, _ga and one whose name starts with _ga_, which let it recognise your browser on a later visit. They last up to two years, or less in browsers that cap how long a cookie may last. Our basis for this is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a), and you can withdraw it at any time with the Manage consent button on every page.

Google keeps the visit data for two months. We have turned off Google signals and the advertising features, so the statistics are not linked to a Google account and are not used for ads. Google processes the data on our behalf under its data processing terms. It may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your answer to the banner is kept in cookies set by this site, not by Google, so that it does not ask again: those whose names start with cmplz_ last a year, and those starting with wp_consent_ last 30 days.

Apart from Google’s script, nothing on the page is fetched from another company’s server: the fonts are served from here. Logging in to the site as an editor sets cookies of its own.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to us keeping it, and you can ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Write to get-started@comparedrawing.com and we will answer.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, at imy.se.
